Everyday Life Around Here

It's summer, so we're playing outside a lot! And hanging out with friends. Here are some pictures of our July so far:

Elijah instructing his little buddy, Eliza, whom he sometimes calls sissy! She comes to play with us 3 days a week.  He picked her up the other day, put her back down, walked away and said, "I'm going to marry Eliza."

This is the best ice cream place around. King Kone's Kastle!  Very cheap and very good!

Of course, you always have to ride the cow statue while you're here.

We had a beautiful double rainbow (all the way across the sky...so intense!)

Then the sky changed to an eerie yellow and the bottom rainbow became so vibrant. I have seen 4 rainbows in the last month! Reminds of God's goodness and his unfailing promises.

I've been loving growing flowers this spring and summer. Here's my attempt at a sunflower. We'll see!  I planted a dozen in the ground in the backyard and nothing grew at all.  So I tried a pot on the porch in a sunny spot.

We had a picnic with church friends last weekend at Moraine State Park. Here's Elijah's little buddy, Gabe.

It's been in the 90's and upper 80's this week, so we've been trying our best to keep cool.
